Supervised Learning

Imagine you're teaching a child to identify different types of fruits. You show them an apple and say, "This is an apple," then a banana with, "This is a banana," and so on. With each example, the child learns to associate the specific look of each fruit with its name. Over time, even when presented with a fruit they haven't seen before, they can make a good guess about what it might be by relating it to what they've already learned. This process of teaching by example and guiding the learning through direct feedback is akin to the concept of Supervised Learning in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
